Hyejin Cho is a Ph.D. student in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology ( BCB) program at Iowa State University. Hyejin is originally from Seoul, South Korea. Her educational background includes a B.A. in Agronomy from Korea University and an M.B in Biotechnology (Bioinformatics) from University of Pennsylvania.

Her research interests include RNA interference and next-generation sequencing technologies. She is currently involved in a project with Dr. Chou about microarray reanalysis using thermodynamic comparisons. Hyejin worked at the most popular social networking Internet company in Sourth Korea as a web developer for 5 years before discovering a profound interest in bioinformatics, which leads to her master degree from University of Pennsylvania and her current pursue of Ph.D study at Iowa State University.

When she can find time Hyejin likes to play Sudoku and jigsaw puzzle and she also likes to do swimming and cross-stitching.
