Introduction

It is normal that a gene’s name is changed. If it happens we could just replace the old name with the new name by the replace function which is available for every text editor. However, it is also normal that 1000 or more genes’ name are changed at the same time for some reason. Then, don’t feel headache. Vect will help you to modify your old files.

First you will need a file for the name list that represents the old name and the new name. Second one is the file of data that contains the old name. You can get the example files here.
